Today
we’re going to present about English Teaching Methods that teacher told us to
find the information about these in pair work. There are 15 English Teaching
Methods that teacher gave to us last week. Before staring presentation, teacher
told 3 groups to present that is belief, contented based learning, and problem
based learning. He also told about Rubric assessment.
Belief
isn’t teaching methods but it is the principle or based for teaching like
communicative approach. It is a belief – it isn’t true or false. Belief can
improve students to critical thinking. It is shown students that how teacher
belief and what teacher believe in. Then, how teacher apply your belief to
teach students. Teachers’ belief is important for them to planning the lesson.
Content
based learning is a learner is successful when the focus is on content rather
than on mastery of language. CBL integrates the learning of language with the
learning of some other content. Students can learn or communicate through
language content rather than the language used to convey. CBL is the method
that can motivate students to learn more and learn faster. Students learn language
and content within the context of authentic material and task. Teacher should
design the objectives relate to the content, not to the language and should
choose the content that students interest. When teacher teaches them, teacher
can practice their thinking skill. CBL is method that student learning by
doing. So, CBL can help students to learn better.
Problem based learning is the method
that depends on the problems or conditions. Teacher gives the problem to
students to learn how to solve the problem. In this method can help them to collaborative
learning. The problems or conditions are encouraging students to learn. It is great
for students to practice analysis and critical thinking and self-directed
learning.
To sum up, all of methods that we presented
are important for teacher and students. It
can help teacher to planning the lesson what method is appropriate for
students. So, when I’m an English teacher, I will choose the main principle to
design my teaching. It isn’t difficult if teacher know how to teach.
