Vocabulary practice Games
Games are important part of a teacher’s repertoire. In
the course of games, students are engaged in an enjoyable and challenging
activity. Often, students are so involved in playing games that they don’t
realize they are practicing language. Games can provide practice in vocabulary.
They can practice individual, pair or small groups. Now, let I tell you what
games the teacher may use while working with words.

games:

Memory
game that may be exploited while working with words related to any topic.

Word
association requires students to tell the words that they know in category.

Mining
can be used as a guessing game.

the tool provides a good opportunity to develop students’ skill in defining
words and paraphrasing.

Human
sounds can be used after students have learned the vocabulary.

Suggestion
chain involves reviewing both leisure activities vocabulary and ways to
suggestion.

Notices and warnings practises the phrases
and short sentences.
8.
Exaggerate
gives students the opportunity to practice strong adjectives.
9.
Expand
the sentence should be played after students have learned about ordering a
series of adjective in English.
The games can learn language very well. These
games are intended to be integrated into the general language syllabus of any
course book and can be important, motivation and enjoyable way of practicing
vocabulary for students. If teacher can provide games that related to a topic,
students also understand a topic clearly. So, in the class teacher should adapt
these games to practice vocabulary for students. Then, teacher can use these
games to be guideline to create games of their own.
